Sabentis at the 25th ORP International Congress: Technology, prevention and innovation from Cartagena

Sabentis attended the ORP International Congress in Cartagena. Over three intense days—from 30 July to 1 August 2025—Cartagena de Indias became the global epicentre of innovation in occupational safety. And at Sabentis, we were not only witnesses but also protagonists of this historic edition of the 25th International ORP Congress, where we were present with an interactive stand that sparked great interest among the 1,817 congress attendees. Our participation was not only aimed at sharing what we do, but also at creating memorable experiences, sparking conversations and forging connections with an international community passionate about transforming and digitising occupational health and safety. And we did so with the help of a first-rate partner: Bosch, who joined us at our stand with the Smart Centre Powered by Sabentis and Bosch, a proposal that left a lasting impression on those who came to see it.

At the ORP International Congress: Óscar Martos, CEO of Sabentis,

opened the series of presentations with an inspiring talk entitled ‘Digitalisation, sensors and AI at the service of OSH’. In it, he presented a comprehensive vision of how the combination of digital platforms with smart sensor technology and artificial intelligence enables proactive prevention based on real data, process automation and predictive analysis. His presentation resonated strongly with attendees interested in digitally transforming occupational health and safety management. The talk explored how sensors are revolutionising occupational risk prevention.

Dr. Payam Mohammadi, Head of Data and AI at Sabentis,

delved into the technological approach of our platform with his presentation ‘Data + Automation + Artificial Intelligence: The Sabentis Approach.’ He showed how data flows processed with algorithms can make real-time decisions, personalise preventive actions, and generate a dynamic security ecosystem in every organisation. His presentation was a clear demonstration of how advanced analytics can become the operational backbone of OSH in the future. The presentation showcased our approach to data and occupational risk prevention software.

Dr. José Luis Parreño, Director of Occupational Biomechanics at Sabentis,

presented the paper ‘Vertical Platform for Ergonomics and Biomechanics: Drastic Reduction of Musculoskeletal Disorders,’ in which he explained how the application of biomechanical studies and advanced ergonomic technology makes it possible to detect and correct physical risk factors before they result in injuries. His presentation included case studies with tangible results in reducing MSDs, demonstrating the power of prevention based on scientific evidence. The paper connected directly to the field of workplace ergonomics and biomechanics.

Dr. Xavier Guardino, Director of Health and Safety at Sabentis,

closed the event with his presentation ‘Chemical and Biological Risk Assessment in the Workplace.’ He presented an updated approach to comprehensive control of occupational contaminants, combining automated assessment matrices, international criteria, and continuous monitoring technologies. His presentation emphasised the importance of integrating technical prevention with accessible and efficient digital solutions for all sectors. The event reflects the global commitment to the ISO 45001 standard for occupational safety.
